Since 1993, the DC Environmental Film Festival's (DCEFF) mission is to advance understanding and stewardship of the environment through the power of film. The ACF DC is a proud partner of the DCEFF again this year.

Join us for the screening of the Austrian documentary ALPENLAND by Robert Schabus as the US Premiere on March 22 at 7:30pm. Robert Schabus paints an insightful and sympathetic portrait of this region, travelling to meet a family of mountain farmers in Austria, visiting a small manufacturing company in the village of Premana in Italy and going to famous skiing resorts like Méribel in France or Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria, Germany. ALPENLAND is the story of people caught between the two opposite poles of economy and ecology, and who have a deep bond with their living environments despite these difficult conditions.
