TRIO ARTIO is a young and dynamic classical music ensemble founded in Vienna in 2017 by the Austrian violinist Judith Fliedl, the Austrian pianist Johanna Estermann and the German cellist Christine Roider. Each member of the trio can already look back on an extensive list of chamber music experience, and thanks to joint concerts in New York, Berlin and Graz, the decision was taken to embark on a musical future together in the form of a piano trio.
Within a short time, Trio Artio has already received many awards such as a 3rd prize at the “International Chamber Music Competition Massimiliano Antonelli” (Italy) and the “Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now” scholarship, as well as numerous concert engagements in Austria. The trio has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of renowned artists and instructors in the course of their master classes as well as ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) sessions in France, the Netherlands and the UK. This all female ensemble is now representing Austria internationally by performing concerts on stages around the world throughout 2020/21 as part of the “New Austrian Sound of Music” (NASOM), a support program for promising young Austrian musicians backed by a global network of embassies and cultural fora.
