The ACF Washington was delighted to present this online concert by the talented all-female Vienna-based Trio Immersio. Vira Zhuk (violin), Mariam Vardzelashvili (piano), Irene Kok (cello) promote chamber music as a lifestyle and believe in full immersion into the sound world of vivid emotions, colors and ideas.

ABOUT THE TRIO IMMERSIO
Trio Immersio, one of Vienna's top chamber music ensembles, is the definition of refined female power in classical music. Concert activities have brought this young ensemble to 20 countries on four continents, including tours of Japan, the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Tunisia etc. In 2021 Trio Immersio will expand its geography with tours of South Africa and China. Major highlights of the coming season include debut at the Berlin Konzerthaus, recording of an all-Schubert CD, residency at the Iceberg Institute in Vienna and a performance of the Beethoven Triple Concerto. Trio Immersio has performed at prestigious venues and has been distinguished with a number of awards and prizes.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
VIRA ZHUK | Violin
Kyiv-born violinist Vira Zhuk moved to Vienna to study with the legendary violinist Pavel Vernikov at the Musik- und Kunstuniversität Wien. She holds a diploma of the international competition training course at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, Italy. Vira Zhuk is a prize winner of numerous international competitions and has performed at prestigious venues around the world.

MARIAM VARDZELASHVILI | Piano
Vienna-based Georgian pianist Mariam Vardzelashvili obtained her Master’s degree in the U.S. after which she moved back to Europe for postgraduate studies in Paris and Vienna in solo and chamber music fields. Her international music education gave Mariam keys to the repertoire that spans over 300 years of music of different styles, with a particular interest in Viennese music, as well as the works from composers of our day. She has worked with legendary composers and played numerous, regional or world premieres of works international composers.

IRENE KOK | Cello
Irene Kok is an international prize winning Dutch cellist. Her bright and expressive interpretation of music is much appreciated by the public. With a specialization and interest in both early music and folk music, Irene Kok has a broad playing field ranging from the most important concert halls in the world to small chamber music series and jazz clubs. Irene Kok completed her education at the conservatory in Amsterdam and at the University of Vienna with Prof. Reinhard Latzko.
