Join us for an evening of classical music with TRIO FRIZZANTE! The group features three young musicians – Marlies Gaugl (flute), Marta Kordykiewicz (cello) and Doris Kitzmantel (piano). Trio Frizzante are a lively group of three musicians who have performed at home and abroad to critical acclaim. During their North American tour, the trio will present an exciting concert entitled NEW VISION – TRANSFORMATION MEETS ORIGIN. It will combine newly arranged classical pieces with contemporary music. The group has been influenced by everything from jazz to Viennese waltz. Get ready to welcome the trio to DC!
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Marlies Gaugl is a solo flutist at the Graz Opera. She is also active in teacher and as a judge in different music competitions, where she shares her knowledge with a younger audience and is inspired by them.
Doris Kitzmantel is a freelancer and works with various chamber music associations. She also passes on her knowledge to the next generation through teaching music and has received many awards for her work. She continue to perform in various renowned concert halls across Europe.
Marta Kordykiewicz is a Polish cellist at the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra. Like Gaugl and Kitzmantel she also teaches music. She is well known for her awards in Poland and has been invited to great concert halls throughout Europe.
