The ACF DC is pround to announce a collaboration with the Japanese Information and Culture Center (JICC) during the Environmental Film Festival DC (DCEFF) taking place virtually March 17-27, 2022. In the culinary road movie Mottainai Kitchen, the Austrian food activist and film maker David Gross tackles the issue of food waste and other environmental issues and searches for sustainable solutions while traveling through Japan. He discovers the fascinating Japanese concept of "Mottainai": Don't waste anything that still has value. David meets locals chefs, scientists and farmers while creating tasty recipes for a "Zero Waste Kitchen Revolution".

The ACF DC and JICC invited David Gross for an interview to learn about his ideas about the future of food, the possibilities to reduce waste and his future projects. This interview as well as well as a blooklet full of useful information will be presented with the movie.
