The European Union National Institutes of Culture in Washington, DC (EUNIC DC), presents Mountaineering Day at the Embassy of the Czech Republic on September 24, 2022, from 10 am to 2 pm.

Conquer the climbing wall, then relax with a cold brew, while listening to the folk band Orchester Praževica. Take part in a mapping and sustainability challenge. Watch a German Shepherd demonstration by Rodina Straze. Delve into how the EU is combating climate change and preserving nature. Learn about top athletes and companies related to mountaineering from EU countries. Try making a tasty trail mix and sample delicious “mountain cuisine” with a demo by Italian Chef Roberto Donna. Check out alpine destinations to visit and more. Enjoy a day of “mountaineering through Europe,” while in the heart of Washington, DC.
